Joe Jackson, father of the iconic Jackson family, and King of Pop Michael Jackson has died aged 89.
Jackson reportedly passed away early on Wednesday morning. He had been in hospital battling with pancreatic cancer.
Jackson's passing comes just two days after the anniversary of the passing of his son Michael Jackson.
Joe Jackson started to work on the music careers of his children in the 1960's where he put together The Jackson 5. The Jackson 5 soon secured a record deal and went on to enjoy years of success and recorded hits like 'I Want You Back', 'ABC' and 'I'll Be There'.
Jackson worked as the bands manager and oversaw rigorous rehearsals and continually booked them at small venues and talents shows around their hometown of Gary, Indiana.
Jackson's grandson Taj Jackson took to Twitter to confirm his grandfather's death saying that their "entire family and hearts are in pain."
His son Michael, had one of the most successful careers in music history before his passing 9 years ago.

Michael often spoke of the difficult and at times abusive relationship that his father shared with his children.
Joe Jackson is survived by his wife Katherine and their sons Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy and daughters Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet as well as his daughter from another relationship Joh'Vannie Jackson.
Disgusted by some of the comments I’m reading about my grandpa Joe by those who didn’t even know him. Please don't just regurgitate what you were spoon fed by the press. Joe was loved by our ENTIRE family and our hearts are in pain. Let us grieve without the nastiness.#ripthehawk
