His June 20, 2017 stop-off could be his last for quite a while...
The big gig announcements keep on coming with Elton John and his band bringing their Wonderful Crazy Night Tour to Cork Live At The Marquee on June 20, 2017. Tickets go on sale on Monday November 7.
It’s the fourth time that Elton, who’s sold upwards of 250 million records during his six decade-long career, has graced the Leeside venue.
The pop veteran says that come the end of next year he’ll be spending considerably less time on the road.
“The simple truth is I want to spend more time with my family, and I am only too aware of just how precious the time ahead is,” he explains. “My sons are growing up so quickly; their early years are just flying by and I want to be there with them. So these concerts will give me the chance to thank the fans who have been so faithful to me over these many decades.”
He’ll also be finishing off his memoir – will the Dwight boy really be brave enough to reveal all about his various entanglements? – which was the subject of a recent publisher bidding war.
