Electric Picnic is definitely on; ticket details released!

After much “will it/won’t it?” speculation, this year’s Electric Picnic is definitely going ahead with a line-up announcement on Thursday April 25. Needless to say, hotpress.com will be all over it like a rash!

Early Bird tickets will be available from April 27 – May 27 priced €149.50 if you can prove you’ve been to three or more Picnics; €169.50 if you’ve attended once before and €189.50 if you’re a Stradbally virgin.
The definition of ‘proof’ is a little vague at present, but past Ticketmaster receipts will definitely qualify you for the discount.
Weekend tickets will cost €189.50 between May 28 – July 28 and €229.50 after that. There will also be Sunday tickets priced €85.
Taking place from August 30 – September 1, the ‘10th Anniversary Edition’ of the bash will retain its Body & Soul, Comedy, Salty Dog, Casa Bacardi, Trailer Park, Mindfield Spoken Word, Theatre, Theatre of Food, Picnic Kids, Farmer’s Market and Family Campsite stages and areas.
The numerous rumoured acts include Arctic Monkeys, David Byrne, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, M.I.A., The Roots, Johnny Marr, Atoms For Peace, Editors, My Bloody Valentine, Bjork and Franz Ferdinand.
