An unusual mode of transport will take the Irish singer from Bristol to Stranraer.
The Irish singer-songwriter Eleanor McEvoy is preparing to set off on her next UK tour, starting Friday, September 14, in a hearse. That’s why she’s calling it the 'Girl In A Black Car' tour.
As McEvoy puts it, “I could never do this tour in Ireland as people would bless themselves as I drive by!”
McEvoy is following in the tyre tracks of rock legend Neil Young who, with his then band The Squires, famously drove from Toronto to Hollywood in a hearse he called Mortimer.
Her UK tour will see McEvoy play London, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow and other towns en route. It will run until Friday, October 5 and will be followed by the release of her new single ‘Don’t Blame the Tune’.
