Manchester alt rockers Elbow have been confirmed as support for Coldplay's Dublin date in September.
The acclaimed group will have the task of warming up the thousands of Coldplay fans that will descend on Dublin Phoenix Park on Monday, September 14.
The support slot will not be the first time the two British bands have shared the stage this year, with Elbow already primed and ready to support the UK megaband on a string of Summer dates in the U.S. over July and August. Elbow are touring in support of their well-received album, The Seldom Seen Kid, while Coldplay are continuing the massive worldwide promotion of last year's Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends, which was 2008's overall best selling album.
