El Hombre Jokes - single launch party this Thursday
All proceeds of the single's sales will go to the the Dublin Simon Community
Fresh from their performance at Vantastival 2010, Dublin four-piece El Hombre Jokes release their debut double A-Side single - 'Something's Got to Give/Suicide Bomber', this Friday June 4, and will mark its release with a launch party on Thursday in Dublin's Crawdaddy.
The tracks will be available for digital download through iTunes, and a limited number of physical copies will be available at Tower Records. All profits from the single will be donated to the Dublin
Simon Community - helping Dublin's homeless.
The band says: "We fund El Hombre Jokes by busking on the streets of Dublin and, especially during
the winter months, we get the tiniest, watered down feeling of what it might be like to be homeless, depending on other people for money. As this single was completely funded by busking on the streets, and because we've met so many great characters over the past year - we thought it'd be great to give something back"
In addition to the main launch night in Dublin, a national promotional tour is currently
being organised that will take in Cork, Kilkenny and Galway.
