Duke Special announces UK + Irish tour
Expect to rub shoulders with rabid packs of A&R men as Duke Special wends his eccentric way around UK and Ireland.
He'll head to the Empire, Belfast (May 27 & 28); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (31); Dolan’s, Limerick (June 1); Sligo Live Festival (2); Nerve Centre, Derry (3); Spirit Store, Dundalk (4); Roisin Dubh, Galway (6); De Barra’s, Clonakilty (8); Whelan’s, Dublin (16); and Sky, Portlaoise (17).
Support throughout is provided by Gary Dunne and Thomas Truax, an equally maverick New York “mechanical sound sculpture.”
As for the boy Special, he’s having to beat offers off with a stick at the moment following his Choice Music Prize nomination. If the Belfaster isn’t signed by Christmas, we’ll eat our metaphorical hats.
