Despite announcing the end of his rap career, Glover says he better make a Childish Gambino collaboration with Chance the Rapper, or "a bunch of 14-year-olds will kick my ass.”
Still glowing from his Emmy wins for Atlanta, Donald Glover took some questions backstage at the Emmys, and many wanted to know about his rap career. Back in June, Glover had said that his music career as Childish Gambino was feeling worn out. "I’m like there’s only so far you can go before you just are the radio," he told press earlier this summer. But at the Emmys, he made an out-of-the-blue announcement that a collaboration with Chance the Rapper was a possibility.
Admitting that “youth scares me,” Glover confessed, “I feel like if I don’t make a Chance the Rapper mixtape, like a double mixtape, a bunch of 14-year-olds will kick my ass. I feel like I’ve gotta do something, I probably will."
Chance himself retweeted the video, though he didn't comment himself on the possible new project.
