Different name, same great signing tent!

After the huge success of the signing tent last year, Hot Press will be returning to Punchestown to bring you closer to the stars. You can drop by to meet the performers, have anything signable signed and take a snap for the family album.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 30 Jun 2004

Witnness may be no more, but one of the greatest attractions of the festival is back again at Oxegen – the Hot Press signing tent. After the huge success of the signing tent last year, Hot Press will be returning to Punchestown to bring you closer to the stars. You can drop by to meet the performers, have anything signable signed and take a snap for the family album.

Unfortunately, David Bowie had to cancel his appearance at the signing tent, but we do have an array of other meet’n’greetable acts lined up. So far, several acts have been confirmed….

Everyone’s favourite teenage angst rockers Future Kings of Spain will have their stationary sets at the ready, as will Dublin funk masters Republic of Loose, Ger Whelan aka Jerry Fish and the happily reunited Hothouse Flowers.

If you’re still kicking yourself for missing the likes of Ian McCulloch, The Thrills, The Datsuns, The Music, Turn, David Kitt, Jerry Fish and Snow Patrol at last year’s Witnness, inscribing everything from breasts to balloons, don’t fret as you’ll have another chance at Oxegen 2004. Stay tuned for more acts to be confirmed soon…
