The free public performance will take place in Derry city on September 1.
Derry’s CultureTECH festival is looking for at least one up-and-coming band/artist to support Duke Special.
The festival has partnered with Breaking Tunes, the online music portal for Irish bands and artists, in its search for new talent.
“Since we announced the Duke Special gig we have been inundated with bands from across Ireland keen to get on the bill," explains festival organiser Mark Nagurski. "One of the reasons we’re organising the festival in the first place is to showcase great talent so we’d love to give a young band or act a chance to support such a successful Northern Irish artist.”
In addition to the act, or acts, chosen to support Duke Special, three acts will be invited to play a showcase event as part of the festival.

The CultureTECH festival will cover the cost of chosen acts' travel and accommodation.
Bands and artists who wish to apply for the coveted slots can do so by registering on the Breaking Tunes website. The closing date for applications is August 6.
