Damien Rice Returns To Irish Charts With O

Adele is at No.1 but there's a surprise new entry.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 23 Dec 2011

It is business as usual at the top of the Irish indie charts this week, with Adele ending the year at No.1 with her hugely successful 21.

Buoyed by their triumphant week of gigs at the Olympia, The Coronas return to the No.2 slot with Closer To You. Meanwhile The Rubberbandits continue to perform well, holding down the No.4 spot for the second week running with Serious About Men.

There is a curious new entry – Damien Rice's O, which sneaks back into the charts at No.14, the fresh interest no doubt stimulated by the release of one of the tracks from the album 'Cannonball', as a single by X-Factor winners Little Mix.
