Random Access Memories will be launched in the town of Wee Waa, New South Wales...
Random Access Memories, Daft Punk's long-awaited and much talked about fourth studio album, will get its official global launch at the unlikely surrounds of the Annual Wee Waa Show in rural Wee Waa, New South Wales, Australia.
The record is out on May 21 via Columbia Records, but will be unveiled at the festival on Friday, May 17. There are 4,000 tickets available for the Wee Waa show, with members of the small rural event in 'Australia's Cotton Capital' guaranteed tickets to its 79th annual show.
Apparently Daft Punk chose the location because of its proximity to the CSIRO Australia Telescope and its array of satellite dishes. We're not sure what to think or expect of that.

Definitely a strange one!
