TMZ, who tend to get these showbiz-y things right, are reporting that Courtney Cox and her Snow Patrol beau Johnny McDaid have called off their wedding and gone their separate ways.
“Sources close to the former couple tell us the Snow Patrol guitarist packed up and moved out of Courteney's homes in Malibu and L.A. shortly before Thanksgiving,” the site reports. “We're told he flew back home to England. They got engaged in June 2014 after 6 months of dating, but we're told they've been struggling over lifestyle choices: She enjoys going out with friends, but he's more low-key and private. Photogs last spotted them together back in August. Our sources say they tried going to counselling to work out their issues, but finally they mutually decided to end things.”
The England part might not be entirely accurate, with Snow Patrol having been hard at work in the States recently on their new album.
The couple, who’d been together for 18 months, were visited last year by the Kodaline boys.
"It was pretty surreal to be honest," Mark Pendergast told us. "Because we'd written a song with Johnny in their incredible Malibu Beach house, Courteney said, possibly after a few glasses of wine, that we should do the video there too. We didn't think she was serious, but three weeks later she was onto us asking, 'When are you guys back over?' Courteney just wanted to film us being ourselves in LA, which was cool. We brought some friends over; it was magic, man."
