Having spoken extensively to HP’s Craig Fitzpatrick on the Marriage Equality Referendum, Conor O’Brien has been putting in the hard yards and canvassing for a Yes vote in Dublin today.
HP sharpshooter Kathrin Baumbach was on hand to capture the goings on today - check out the gallery here.
Flanked by friends and fellow campaigners – including funnyman David O’Doherty and HP scribe Eamon Sweeney – Conor O'Brien stationed himself at St Stephen's Green this afternoon, handing out leaflets and badges to passers-by, urging them to tick the Tá box on Friday.
O’Brien did show a lack of electioneering nous in giving a ‘Vote Yes’ pin to a small child – he doesn’t have a vote, Conor, it’s a waste of a badge! – but was plenty capable in talking to all who approached him, many of whom seemed oblivious they were conversing with a chart-topping artist.
He will, of course, be getting enough attention over the next two nights, as he headlines the Olympia.
