Conor Guilfoyle is to conduct a Saturday afternoon Drum Masterclass at The Music Show in association with Pearl.
Since picking up his first pair of sticks aged 13, Guilfoyle has become one of the world’s most revered jazz drummers and played with such giants of the genre as John Abercrombie, Larry Coryell, Sonny Fortune and David Liebman.
He currently directs three Afro-Cuban groups; is a member of Pucho & His Latin Soul Brothers who are a huge draw on the European circuit; and is a co-founder of the jazz programme at Newpark Music Centre.
The Music Show, presented by Hot Press in association with RTÉ 2fm, Irish Independent & Evening Herald, runs from October 2nd-3rd in The RDS, Dublin. Saturday 2nd October 10 am - 6.30 pm, Sunday 3rd October 11 am - 6.30 pm.
