Bronagh Gallagher Opens Damien Redmond Exhibition
Pulp Fiction and Commitments star and soul singer extraordinaire, Bronagh Gallagher, performed the opening last week for a unique one person show at the Sol Gallery.
The show, which started a week-long run on Thursday, November 1, is by the self-taught Dublin artist Damien Redmond. His work has been described as "fresh and surreal".
"He is completely self-taught," one observer told Hot Press. "His work has all the charm, confidence and directness of someone who isn't hindered by education and the self consciousness that can come from that. He has vitality and passion and moves the paint very intuitively."
Redmond's art celebrates Irish culture.
His debut one-man show is in The Athena Room, Sol Gellery, Dawson Street and runs until Thursday November 8.
