Today Bord Gáis Energy Theatre unveiled this season's line-up, announcing 13 brand new productions.
The 13 productions announced today include: Moscow City Ballet with two of Tchaikovsky’s best-loved ballets Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, followed by a Moscow State Opera production of Carmen starring Ireland’s own Celine Byrne.
Drama announced today included The Play That Goes Wrong which joins the previously announced Hamlet, Peter James's Not Dead Enough starring Laura Whitmore and the return of the sensational National Theatre production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.
Comedy and Magic comes courtesy of The Wedding Singer – don't miss your chance to join the party of the year! Packed with songs to capture the fun of the Adam Sandler smash hit film, starring Nadia Forde. Prepare to be amazed by the international Broadway Phenomenon
Special events include UNIQUE LIVES, a series of in depth interviews with four iconic speakers designed to motivate, challenge and inspire, featuring Colonel Chris Hadfield, Mia Farrow, Alexandra Cousteau, and John Cleese. Creative conference OFF-SET returns for what promises to be another sell out event.
Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical Miss Saigon leads an all star line-up of knockout productions set to delight in 2017. A recent smash in the West End and winner of a record-breaking nine Whatsonstage Awards including Best Show, this epic love story will play for seven weeks across October and November.
Also announced today a rapturous round of sensational West End and Broadway musicals includingEvita, Crazy For You starring Tom Chambers, and the magical new musical extravaganza Wonderland. Dust off your leather jackets and pull up your bobby-socks and rock along to Grease starring The Wanted's Tom Parker. Everyone's favourite kooky family will grace the stage in The Addams Family featuring a live orchestra and original score sure to entertain you whether you're 12 or 312!

Back by popular demand and added to today's announcement are Sister Act and Hairspray, which join the previously announced and also returning Blood Brother, West Side Story, and Dirty Dancing all guaranteed to have you dancing in the aisles time after time.

Last but not least, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is continuing to offer the best in home-grown entertainment with Angela's Ashes. In a major musical adaptation, Frank McCourt's memoir Angela's Ashes comes to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in an emotional telling of a childhood in Limerick and beyond, featuring unforgettable songs and melodies, told with a rare lyricism and a warm inimitable sense of humour. Producer Pat Moylan said “I'm thrilled that Irish audiences will be the first to experience this enthralling musical version of Angela's Ashes, before we take it to the world stage. I know that they are in for a very special evening of music and song featuring Frank McCourt's iconic characters live onstage – a project that has been so close to my heart for a long time”.
There are plenty of high notes for music lovers with an outstanding line-up of musicians old and new; Conor Oberst, the legendary Gilbert O'Sullivan, Tommy Fleming, The Divine Comedy, Pink Martini, Chris De Burgh, John Prine, pop music veterans The Beach Boys and an already sold-out performance by Kraftwerk 3D each set to take to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre stage throughout 2017.
