Commencement address from 2004 appears on exam this morning
For many students, the dreaded Leaving Cert represents all that they can't leave behind, but today even those who can't tell their Elizabeth Bishops from their Sylvia Plaths still recognised one name on the paper.
A commencement address made by Bono at the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 was included as a comprehension piece on the first paper of this year's exams. It also included a photo of the U2 star which might have caused a little mirth; some of the reactions of students on social media are below.
