Beyoncé reveals patriotic new single
The singer debuted 'God Bless The USA' last night
Fresh from confirming that she'll perform at this year's Oxegen and T in the Park festivals, US singer Beyoncé has revealed her latest single, a patriotic ballad called 'God Bless The USA'.
The R&B star performed the track on Piers Morgan's CNN show last night.
Beyoncé's version will raise funds for the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit. The singer originally recorded the track in 2008 for the Obama presidential campaign, but never released it, however more cynical-minded commentators may see this as a rush to cash in on the post Osama-death patriotic mood in the US, particularly in the light of her recent massively underperforming comeback single 'Run The World'.
Morgan announced the performance via Twitter: "If you don't get teary at the end of @PiersTonight and the world premiere of Beyoncé's God Bless the USA, you're probably not from here." Decide for yourself here.
