4 goes straight in at number one.
There's a new queen in town! After weeks and weeks of total domination, Adele has finally been knocked off her perch, and frankly we can't think of a better woman to take her place at the top of the Irish album charts.
It seems like everything Beyoncé touches at the moment turns to gold, and with brand new album 4 sailing straight in at No. 1, it's yet another feather in her cap. Fresh from an astonishing performance at Glastonbury that stole the entire weekend, the irrepressible diva is set to thrill Irish crowds when she makes her Oxegen debut next weekend.
Her triumph means Adele drops one spot to a very respectable second place with 21, and the London songstress will take some consolation that debut album 19 sits just behind at No. 3.
Elsewhere, Lady Gaga continues her hold on the mainstream consciousness as Born This Way climbs one spot to No. 4. Further climbing isn't far away with Oxegen-bound siren Imelda May jumping up an impressive eight places to No. 5 with her excellent Mayhem while Calypso-flavoured Rihanna's Loud leaps four places to No. 6.

The highest new entry goes to hirstute Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro, with their Revolutions: Live At Wembley live spectacular making its chart debut at No. 16, while Wonderland, Louis Walsh's new girlband, make their bow with their self-titled effort at No. 19.
