Double dose of good news for fans of dream-pop duo
Maryland duo Beach House have hit Irish fans with a double whammy of good news this sunny Tuesday afternoon, with news of a forthcoming record, and a visit to Irish shores to boot.
The dream-pop peddlers will release their fifth full-length LP, Depression Cherry, on August 28. The nine-track effort, according to the band themselves, will see "a return to simplicity, with songs structured around a melody and a few instruments, with live drums playing a far lesser role."
And, speaking of live, fans won't have to wait all that long to sample the new material in person; the band have confirmed that their European jaunt will open with a visit to Belfast's Mandela Hall on October 24, followed by a stop-off at Vicar St. the following night.
