Arctic Monkeys, Bjork & Fatboy Slim top the Electric Picnic bill

The waiting and speculation is finally over! The Arctic Monkeys, Bjork and the evergreen Fatboy Slim have been confirmed as the headline turns at this year’s Electric Picnic.

The fine opening salvo of acts also includes Johnny Marr who unilaterally announced his participation on Monday, Franz Ferdinand, Eels, Mick Flannery, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Noah & The Whale, Disclosure, Ocean Colour Scene, Hurts, The Walkmen, Baauer, Tiga, Warpaint, Savages, The Strypes, Polica, Chvrches, Parquet Courts, Clinics, Dep Valley and SOAK.

Early Bird tickets will be available from April 27 – May 27 priced €149.50 if you can prove you’ve been to three or more Picnics; €169.50 if you’ve attended once before and €189.50 if you’re a Stradbally virgin.

The definition of ‘proof’ is a little vague at present, but past Ticketmaster receipts will definitely qualify you for the discount.

Weekend tickets will cost €189.50 between May 28 – July 28 and €229.50 after that. There will also be Sunday tickets priced €85.

Taking place from August 30 – September 1, the ‘10th Anniversary Edition’ of the bash will retain its Body & Soul, Comedy, Salty Dog, Casa Bacardi, Trailer Park, Mindfield Spoken Word, Theatre, Theatre of Food, Picnic Kids, Farmer’s Market and Family Campsite stages and areas.
