Following their performance to 40,000 people at Malahide Castle, the Canadian alt/rock band played a short intimate gig in the Dublin bar.
Rumours had begun to surface long before Arcade Fire had taken to the stage at Malahide. The band had been hiding cereal boxes around Dublin city all of yesterday, telling those who found the prizes that they'd have access to an afterparty which hadn't yet been given a location.

When the band had finished their set at Malahide, frontman Win Butler had us rushing back to south Dublin for a "Dance party" at Whelan's.

The band piled onto the stage at Whelan's at half 12 to give a stripped-back rendition of their new single 'Creature Comfort', before Win himself curated a few tunes from behind the decks to keep the party going into the night.
Stage invasions, sing-alongs and happy faces all round; Arcade Fire's love affair with Ireland began a new chapter last night.
