Appetite for destruction
Philomena Lynott contributes to heavy metal cookbook.
Philomena Lynott’s Sunday Brunch Lamb Roast, which was a big favourite of Philo’s, is one of over a hundred recipes included in Hellbent For Cooking: The Heavy Metal Cookbook.
Also featuring somewhat unlikely contributions from the likes of Autopsy (Mummified Jalapeno Bacon Bombs), Toxic Holocaust (Bondage Rolled Steak), Anthrax (Stuffed Cabbage), Anvil (Thundering Beef Brisket), Sadistik Exekution (Black Metal Berry Pie) and Judas Priest (Gray Peas & Bacon), the recipes originally appeared in the Morbid Tales fanzine run by Canadian headbangerette Annick Giroux.

It rather puts us in mind of the excellent Please Feed Me: A Punk Vegan Cookbook that was published back in the day by Dublin’s Hope Collective.
