You'll already have heard that the winner of our Face The Music competition (and for that matter the grand-prize winner of €2000 worth of gear from Richer Sounds) - was one Derek Dunne of Drumcondra. Well, here are the few, the proud, the runners-up (...and we do mean "the few")
Well after the very lengthy process of sifting through the many entries Hot Press and Richer Sounds are pleased to announce two runners-up for our Face The Music contest from the 2003 Hot Press Yearbook.
Now, we know that the competition page reads "10 successful Runners-up" prizes, but the competition proved tougher than we’d guessed – so let's doff our hats to both Paul Brennan and John Roche, who were the only two entrants (outside of our winner Derek Dunne) who successfully named all 64 artists!
Both Paul and John win a 12-month subscription to Hot Press and Hotpress.com.

Just so you know, some common misconceptions included many of you thinking that Indigo Fury were Boa Morte, and Pina was mistaken more than once for Tara Blaze (who was actually included elsewhere in the competition)! Possibly the strangest mix-up of all was the entrant who figured that Kila were actually U2 members in drag circa Achtung Baby. Not quite.
Anyway, thanks for all of the entries we received, and to Richer Sounds for the main prize. That was fun! Let’s play again next year...
