Alabama 3, Paddy Casey and Dave Geraghty to make signing appearances
Autograph hunters are in for a treat over the next few days.
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 05 Sep 2007
Bell X1 man Dave Geraghty will be launching his first solo album Kill Your Darlings in the Liffey Valley branch of Golden Discs in Dublin this Friday at 6:00pm. He'll perform selected tracks from the record and sign copies for fans. He'll also be appearing at HMV Grafton Street the following Thursday (September 13) at 5.30pm.
On Saturday, genre-defying rockers Alabama 3 (pictured) will be signing copies of their new album M.O.R., also in HMV Grafton Street.
And on Monday, Paddy Casey pops up in the 3Store on Grafton Street at lunchtime to perform tracks from his new album Addicted To Company and give 'video autographs' to fans.
Keep an eye out for an interview with Alabama 3 in next fortnight's issue of Hot Press.

What is it about this mob that fails to persuade? Their steel peddle revivalism comes on like pastiche, yet it’s subtle, tender pastiche, delivered with intelligence and reverence. There are hints of Beck, glimpses of vintage Nick Cave and tremors too of music that is older, sadder, wiser.

The miniscule number of you who bought their last album, La Peste, will know that the Alabama 3 have decided to tone down the Southern preacher bit and concentrate on the tunes. It's an attempt to get away from the "novelty band" image, which has resulted in savage critical maulings in the UK, and collective head scratching on the other side of the Atlantic.
