Adele holds onto indie chart top spot

In the face of stiff competition from Delorentos...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 03 Feb 2012

Having been knocked off her perch on the Irish album chart by Lana Del Rey, Adele can console herself with the news that she is still #1 on the Irish indie chart, with 21 fighting off Delorentos' third studio album Little Sparks, which debuts at #2.

That shift means Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds drops one place to #3 while Adele's 19 and Scala @ Kolacny Brothers' self-titled effort round out the top five. The second highest new entry goes to Django Django with their self-titled debut making its presence felt at #9. Look out for an interview in the next issue of Hot Press.
