The Tupelo man has gone it alone...
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 15 Oct 2012
James Cramer, Tupelo's lead singer and songwriter, has ventured out for his own solo album, released on Friday, October 19.
The album - The Lights Of Lisnaskay - is based on the poetry of Matt Duggen, a World War II soldier from Co. Fermanagh.
Cramer stumbled upon the book of poetry in a library over the summer. The first single to be released is 'The Road To Kinawley' which combines the words of Duggen’s poem 'The Wee Road' and Cramer’s music.
The poet’s son, Gerry Duggen, wrote to Cramer saying he was “delighted that you are drawn to this book and that you recognised the merit of my father’s words.”
