Check out 'Awkward' here...
Irish/LA combo Saucy Monky have unveiled their latest video, 'Awkward', and Hot Press has the European exclusive right here.
The video stars band members Cynthia Catania and Annmarie Cullen, and explores the theme of lesbian love and longing.
It features a full cast of actors and was produced by filmmakers at Ghostlight. What's more, it's been accepted into the Fresno ReelPride Film Festival as a short film. Well done to all involved!
The track is taken from forthcoming album Trophy Girl, which will be released in three parts, via three EPs, before being integrated into a final album version.

"We wanted to keep things interesting," explains SM's Cynthia. "We're releasing the pieces of this album, one at a time. Trophy Girl is actually a lyric from 'Awkward'. So, the larger idea could be about dating a trophy girl or being one in some people's eyes. It can be interpreted many ways."
Trophy Girl has been a real labour of love for the band, who released a statement some time back reaching out to fans for financial support: "We have come to realise that a great piece of art/music is not enough to reach the masses," they said. "That's why we are reaching out to you. We need your help in hiring a publicity and marketing team (like we did with our first two albums in Ireland, with GREAT success)."
Funds were raised via the PledgeMusic website, and the album will be released soon. 'Til then, feast your eyes on 'Awkward', here.
