Two Door Cinema Club top album chart

Beacon goes straight to number one

The eagerly anticipated second album Beacon from Two Door Cinema Club claims the top spot in the Irish album chart this week. The Northern Irish indie outfit have been inspiring an endless amount of chin-wagging since news broke that the White House booked out most of their first Washington DC date, forcing them to add another. Two Door Cinema Club also announced their first Dublin O2 headline date on January 16. You can check out the review for Beacon in this week's Hot Press...

Elsewhere on the album charts Electric Picnic stars Of Monsters and Men with My Head Is An Animal are at No. 2, no doubt gaining considerable interest after their incredible Stradbally set, whilst Ed Sheeran's + is up from number 5 to number 3 following his performance last weekend.
