Bloc Party's Four claims second place in charts

Hot on its heels is Hot Cakes by The Darkness, entering the charts in third spot.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 24 Aug 2012

This week's indie album charts sees Bloc Party's brand new album Four head straight to second place, just behind Adele's 21 which is still at number one this week. Hot Cakes by The Darkness entered the charts in third spot.

Lisa Hannigan's Passenger has remained in twelfth spot and Heroes or Ghosts by The Coronas has reappeared at number 19 this week.

In the singles charts, 'Little Talks' by Of Monsters And Men is still at number one followed by Rita Ora's 'How We Do (Party)'.

Florence and The Machine's 'Spectrum (Say My Name)' has risen from fifth to third place and Emeli Sande's 'Read All About It, Pt III' has risen from 19th to 5th place.

Over in the mainstream charts, it's much the same as last week as Ryan O'Shaughnessy holds on to his number one spot with his eponymous debut album and Emeli Sande stays at number two with Our Version Of Events. Here, Bloc Party's Four comes in at number 10.
