Nicki Minaj defends cancelled dates

She suggests those with negative comments "#EatShitAndDie"...

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 20 Aug 2012

Nicki Minaj has responded to vitriolic online criticism of her pulling her V Festival and Dublin Olympia dates due to vocal problems.

“I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal chord. If u can't understand that, your mother's a WHORE!!!!” she tweets. “I will NOT let you people make me feel horrible for a fucking HEALTH issue! That's what got me in this mess! I shldve listened 2 the doctor!

“People are hitting me telling me I shldve mimed. No! Then you woulda made a fucking STORY out of that too.

“I am so thankful to my true fans who understand WHY I couldn't play V Festival & WHY I can't play Dublin. Absolutely gutted.

“If u have anything negative to say to me, please #EatShitAndDie - I am human.

“All you do is rip people apart and when they're dead & gone u won't lose a wink of sleep. #goFuckYourselves.”

Among those tweeting up for Minaj who was due in Dublin tomorrow is Niall Breslin.

“People giving Nicky Minaj shit for cancelling show need to show a little compassion,” he proffers. “She is only human and allowed get sick like rest of us. The last thing performers want to do is cancel shows but if she does long term damage to her voice her career is over. However, I disagree with her rant on Twitter. It serves no purpose.”
