New singles on the way by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
The band just announced the release of 18 new songs.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be releasing 18 new songs on August 10, on a series of nine 7 inch singles. The songs were recorded during their I'm With You sessions.
The first two songs to be announced are Side A: "Strange Man" and Side B: "Long Progression".
The complete singles collection bundle (including digital downloads and a custom 3x3 recycled plastic holder to display the records on a wall) will be available on vinyl and digital formats on the Red Hot Chili Peppers website and iTunes.

So much so that poor guitarist John Frusciante is left doing a cover version of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ in the background while the rest of the band plod along behind Anthony Kiedis’s isolated enthusiasm. A new low for them? Quite possibly.
