Martha Wainwright confirms Sligo gig

Martha Wainwright is the first act to be confirmed for this year’s Sligo Live Festival, which runs from October 22 to 26.
Loudon’s daughter and Rufus’ sister plays the Radisson SAS Hotel on the 24th, with tickets priced €30 available next Wednesday. The rest of the bill won’t be announced until mid-June, but if you want to take a leap of faith weekend tickets are available at the early bird price of €90.
Wainwright was in action earlier this week at the Pete Seeger 90th birthday tribute in New York, which also featured Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, Ani DiFranco, Billy Bragg, Kris Kristofferson, Steve Earle, Tom Morello and about 40 other friends and admirers.
