Snow Patrol hit No.1
Recent Hot Press cover stars Snow Patrol have debuted at No.1 in the Irish album charts with their new album A Hundred Million Suns, in its first week of release.
The band beat off a number of strong contenders for the top spot, notably Pink, whose Funhouse went straight in to at No.2.
This comes hot on the heels of the news that Snow Patrol – whose whistle-stop four gigs over two days in Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and London are reviewed by Olaf Tyaransen in the new issue of Hot Press – have added two new Irish dates to their spring tour.
The band will now play The 02, Dublin on February 28 and March 1 and The Odyssey Arena on March 19 and 20. The gigs are being promoted by MCD Concerts.
