50 Cent: no phones at The Point, please

Ignoring all rules of practicality, no camera phones (or cameras, for that matter) will be allowed into 50 Cent's shows in Dublin this weekend.

The rapper, who was due to play Slane with Eminem before it was cancelled due to Shady's ill health, is instead playing The Point on Saturday (17 Sept) and Sunday (18 Sept) with Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Olivia, Mobb Deep & MOP.

And in insisting that cameras not be brought into the venue, the powers that be have extended the rule to camera phones.

"Officials will be conducting a search of all patrons and should cameras be found they will be confiscated. These rules also apply to the use of camera phones." is the official line.

With most punters owning phones, and most phones being camera phones, we can but imagine the administrative nightmare to enforce these rules. Time to dig out that first gen brick of a Nokia, we think...
