UPDATED: Josh Ritter announces orchestra-backed Dublin show

Tickets for Mr Ritter's unique Vicar St show on December 11 are now sold out, and the demand was such that a new date has just been added for the next night.

Tickets for the December 12 show are €38, on sale now. Both nights will see the singer accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra.

Meanwhile, the American has one of his songs, ‘Still Beating’, featured in the premiere episode of HBO’s True Blood (pictured). Described as “a sexy and scary vampire drama” and starring Oscar-winner Anna Paquin, it’s the latest deviant televisual masterpiece from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball.
