UPDATED: Josh Ritter's live CD, Irish tracks, new release date
The Electric Picnic-bound Josh Ritter has confirmed the release of Live At The 9.30 Club, the majority of which was recorded in the titular Washington D.C. venue.
A new release date of September 5 has been announced.
The gig was taped on October 7 2007 for American public radio, and features superb versions of ‘Mind’s Eye’, ‘To The Dogs Or Whoever’, ‘Rumors’, ‘The Temptation Of Adam’, ‘Right Moves’, ‘Real Long Distance’, ‘Lawrence, KS’ and ‘Next To Last Romantic’, all belted out that night with considerable gusto.
In addition, the Irish version of the CD features two exclusive audio tracks (‘Wildfires’ and ‘California’) and three live videos (‘Lillian, Egypt’, ‘Overnite’ and ‘Real Long Distance’) culled from his visit to Waterford’s Forum in December 2007.
