Louis Walsh holds open auditions for girl band
Aspiring performers will have their chance to shine in front of one of the biggest names in pop this month, as Louis Walsh holds open auditions for a new five-piece girl band.
Think you have a claim to fame?
Then this is your chance to skip the reality TV shows and years of bar-playing, and go straight into a spanking new pop band.
Pop svengali Louis Walsh – having already propelled the likes of Westlife, Girls Aloud and Boyzone into stardom – is calling open auditions for a new five-piece girlband in Dublin this month.
Any girl aged 15-25 can try out on July 25 and 26 at the Pod on Harcourt Street, Dublin, from midday to 6pm. Auditions will consist of an a cappella song of your choice, with callbacks the next day (July 27).
Louis will judge the auditions, along with Westlife's Kian Egan, who will co-manage the group with Walsh.
Kian believes this is a great way for talented girls to bring something fresh to the Irish music scene: “I am really hoping we are going to see and hear some great talent from all parts of the country. I know how much an audition like this can change your life – so my advice is to go for it!”
