The Edge's charity initiative announces view dates
Priceless items for auction will benefit New Orleans musicians affected by Katrina
The items being auctioned as part of The Edge’s Icons Of Music charity initiative can be viewed at the Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre in County Kildare from May 2 to 14.
The opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9.15am to 6pm, and Sunday 11am to 6pm.
Up for live and online sale on May 31 in the Times Square Hard Rock Café, the 400 lots will benefit the New Orleans musicians adversely affected by Hurricane Katrina.
They include the Gibson guitar used by Slash at the first Velvet Revolver gig; a handwritten Jim Morrison poem; a Nirvana ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ MTV Award; one of Miles Davis’ trumpets; an early Paul McCartney signed Hofner bass; an Elton John toaster wedding gift; Buddy Holly’s library card; Trent Reznor’s custom Gibson; and loads more quality swag.
You can peruse and register to take part in the auction at www.juliensauctions.com.
