CSS set for MTV gig and reveal new album details
The may be one woman down, but CSS are all geared up for the release of Donkey
They may have lost a member – Ira Trevisan – because she’s worried about her carbon emissions, but CSS promise to be firing on all cylinders on May 7 when they join MGMT and The Futureheads for an MTV Brand Spanking New gig in Dublin Academy.
Among their reasons to be cheerful is the July 18 release of Donkey, their second Sub Pop album which features ‘Jáger Yoga’, ‘Reggae All Night’, ‘Give Up’, ‘Left Behind’, ‘Beautiful Song’, ‘How I Became Paranoid’, ‘Move’, ‘I Fly’, ‘Believe Achieve’, ‘Air Painter’ and ‘Rat Is Dead (Rage)’, which is available as a free download from csshurts.com.
Doing what all lead singers are obliged to do, Lovefoxx says it’s infinitely better than their debut.
“Cansei De Ser Sexy sounded very lethargic,” the Brazilian insists. “We didn’t really know what we were doing. It wasn’t really an album – it was a load of songs we made together. Donkey sounds more solid.”
