Dustin favourite to represent Ireland in Eurovision
Dustin The Turkey has been installed as the 4-6 favourite to represent Ireland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.
Talking about his participation in February 23’s Eurosong eliminator in Limerick with ‘Irelande Douze Pointe’, Dustin says: “It’s a selfless act based on my desire to help my country as I believe there’s a direct link between the recent downturn in the economy, my lack of musical output and our poor showing in the Eurovision over the last number of years.”
The rest of the Paddy Power booking is:
Donal Skehan – ‘Double Cross My Heart’ @ 9-2
Leona Daly – ‘Not Crazy After All’ @ 5-1
Marc Roberts – ‘Chances’ @ 7-1
Liam Geddes – ‘Sometimes’ @ 9-1
Maya Slatinesk – ‘Time To Rise’ @ 16-1
Given that the winner will be selected by a public phone vote, we reckon Dustin’s a shoo-in to be journeying to the Balkans in May.
