Beck's and Hot Press search for new Irish act

Hot Press are joining forces with Beck’s Fusions to find the act who’ll support Neosupervital at the initiative’s exclusive launch party in the Dublin Village on September 5.

All you have to do is send an MP3 to becks@hotpress.ie along with a biog and contact details.

Also at the launch party will be The Fusions Wall, a unique piece of art created by Hot Press readers with the aid of a special insert that’s being given away with the issue out on Thursday July 26. Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks for your chance to win tickets to this amazing soiree.

Curtain well and truly raised, the first Beck’s Fusions Experience event takes place on September 16 in Dublin’s Temple Bar.

Proceedings will kick off with The Day Experience, an ‘interactive performance pod’ showcasing audio visual works from groundbreaking artists such as Graham Dolphin and Jordan Baseman, and open free of charge to the public.

Meeting House Square is the setting for the 1,000-capacity event which finds Scottish disco maverick Calvin Harris and Novak 3D Disco uniting to create a unique 3D multimedia fusion, with support from local musicians.

Tickets for the show can be won with Beck’s and Beck’s Vier at participating outlets and at www.becksfusions.ie.

Talking of young Calvin, the ‘Acceptable In The ‘80s’ and ‘The Girls’ man had a chinwag the other day with Ed Power, which will be appearing shortly in Ireland’s most fortnightly magazine.
