The five year old suffers from celebral palsy, CVI Blindness and refractory epilepsy.
A massive fundraiser is currently on going to ensure a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy can afford the medical equipment needed for him as he grows up. Jarrah Folkman was diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, CVI blindness and refractory epilepsy.
Jammin' For Jarrah will see his father Ben and a group of musicians tour the country playing 32 gigs in 32 counties in just seven days. They are hoping to raise €40,000 to pay for medical equipment for Jarrah as well as his educational needs. The tour is described as a "busking bonanza". Soul, blues, folk, bluegrass and dance music will be provided by Ben Folkman, Janice Igoe, Fuzzy Burgers, The Bouseys and DJ Richard Donnelly.
The first gig of the tour will be in Dundalk this Sunday June 19, Father's Day. The final gig will be a homecoming concert in the Errgial Country House Hotel in Cootehill, Cavan on June 25. Tickets for that gig are available for €20. So far they have raised €200 in one day.
