Celtic Woman: Crack Billboard Top 5!

The collection notched up first week sales of 77,000 units – impressive but a long-way behind Norah Jones’ Not Too Late, which grabbed the top spot with 405,000 copies sold.
The five-piece Irish vocal group commence an 88-date tour on February 14, which will keep them on the road until May, and includes a triumphant St. Patrick’s Day stop-off at New York’s Radio City.
“Celtic Woman is a phenomenon,” enthuses Manhattan Records’ General Manager Ian Ralfini. "A New Journey entering at number 4 proves that there is a healthy demand for adult music in today's marketplace. We are proud to be a part of their many successes, having already sold over 2 million units, and look forward to many more reasons to celebrate in the future."
This week’s American chart also makes happy reading for Dubliner Ruth-Ann Cunningham who co-authored one of the songs on American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee’s number two self-titled debut.
