The Killers on the loose again
We get the first whisperings of a return from Las Vegas's The Killers.
Although the precise date and venue have yet to be cofirmed hotpress has it on good authority that The Killers will play Dublin in October as part of a European tour.
The jaunt is in support of Sam’s Town, the outfit’s sophomore album, which was unveiled at a New York media gathering last week and by all accounts blows Hot Fuss out of the water.
Along with the title-cut and lead single ‘When You Were Young’, the collection features ‘Enterlude’, ‘Bling’, ‘For Reasons Unknown’, ‘Read My Mind’, ‘Uncle Jonny’, ‘Bones’, ‘My List’, ‘This River Is Wild’, ‘Why Do I Keep Counting?’ and ‘Exitlude’.
Joining the band on the bus will be multi-instrumentalist Ted Sablay.
“He’ll be for us like Pat Smear was for Nirvana,” says guitarist Dave Keuning. “He’ll play keys, guitar and sing a little bit. It’ll help us match the live versions a little closer to the album.”
