Ten Speed Racer split up

There's bad news for Ten Speed Racer fans with the band announcing that after five years of fighting the good fight they're calling it a day.

According to an official statement: "It was an amicable split. Each member will be embarking on new and exciting projects in the near future.

Ten Speed Racer's three brothers Barrett – Dermot, John and Pat – Joe Chester and Terry Cullen would like to thank you for your support and will see you soon."

As a final hurrah, the quintet play Dublin's Temple Bar Music Centre on July 3, with a 'Best Of…' to follow.
