Shane alive
Shane MacGowan's lebel-less days are over with UK independent, Eagle, snapping up the rights to his Across The Broad Atlantic live album
Due for release on October 1st, The Popes-assisted collection was recorded in New York over the last Paddy’s Day weekend.
According to Shane, it’s incendiary stuff.
“It’s the best line-up I’ve ever had right now,” he enthuses. “And I’m not knocking the bands I’ve had over the years, but the chemistry is there, you know what I mean?”

Also due through Eagle next month is the new Bob Geldof collection, Sex, Age & Death. Described by a well-placed source as “his most autobiographical record yet”, it includes lyrical references to both Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence.
