Song Of The Sea was named Best Film at the Mansion House ceremony, which also saw Patrick's Day and The Fall claim gongs
Given that it's just about the most celebrated Irish television drama of all time, it was little surprise to see Love/Hate win big at last night's Irish Film and Television Academy Awards.
The Mansion House ceremony - coverage of which will air on TV3 at 9pm this evening - saw the gangland crime drama dominate the small-screen section, as it claimed gongs for Best Drama and Best Script, with Charlie Murphy collect Best Actress honours for her portrayal of Siobhán.
Aidan Gillen was named Best Actor for his role as Charlie Haughey, while veteran Stephen Rae was also recognised.
On the film side of proceedings, the team from Cartoon Saloon were celebrating the biggest victory, as their Oscar nominated Song Of The Sea was named Best Film. Lenny Abrahamson claimed the Best Director gong for Frank, while writer/director Terry McMahon and leading man Mo Dunford both picked up new mantle ornaments for their work on Patrick's Day.
