'Outstanding Contribution' for Blur at Brits

Britpop kings Blur closed last night's Brit Awards with a five-song set. The band, who formed a whopping 21 years ago (making us feel all kinds of old) were awarded an 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' award at the event, which took place in London's O2 arena. The band's set included a rendition of their 1995 hit 'Parklife', for which Phil Daniels joined them on stage (see below).

UK singers Adele and Ed Sheeran were the other big winners on the night. Adele bagged 'British Female Solo Artist' and 'Album Of The Year' for 21, while Sheeran was awarded 'British Male Solo Artist' and 'British Breakthrough Act'. He took to the stage for an acoustic rendition of 'Lego House', while Adele performed her hit 'Rolling In The Deep'. Coldplay opened proceedings with a performance of 'Charlie Brown', taken from their latest album Mylo Xyloto.

Other winners included Rihanna (International Female Artist), Bruno Mars (International Male Artist), One Direction (British Single) and Lana Del Rey (International Breakthrough Act).
